Ferruginous Hawk Prepares for Flight
A Ferruginous Hawk prepares for flight from a utility post, under a winter blue sky in Wasco County. As he raises his wings we can see the feather pattern and rufous ‘pantaloons’ just before he takes off. An adult light morph, and a stunningly beautiful bird.
