When I hear a potential Aurora Borealis is heading our way, I make an effort to go out and wait for it as soon as the sky goes dark. More often than not, it’s only faintly seen by my camera sensor, if I get to see it at all. The aurora at the end of March was pretty nice, even at the south border of Washington State! Among my favorite dark sky spots is Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge!
