Whitcomb-Cole Hewn Log House
Whitcomb-Cole Hewn Log House
The Whitcomb-Cole Hewn Log House, located in Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge is a lovely maintained historical home. A walk through the interior shows how our pioneers resided in comfort by the standards of that era. Surrounded by forest and marsh near Refuge Headquarters in Klickitat County, you’ll hear resident wildlife depending on the season. Haunting cries of elk bugling, sandhill cranes calling, woodpeckers drilling into trees and more.

The Columbia Gorge is a spectacular place to live work and play. After decades of living here, I still love finding new things and places to photograph.
