Five Squares of Purple Art Glass Earrings

$36.00

Five shades of purple squares that are ‘tack’ fired to retain shape and texture in these art glass earrings. Colors are opaque purple, translucent red violet, opaque lavender, opaque antique rose and translucent lavender; topped with purple niobium ear wires. Set onto a clear iridescent base, when viewed from the back there’s a hint of shimmer. Sophisticated, yet casual designer dangle earrings. They are lightweight and easy to wear, from day into night.

Handmade using the best art glass and findings to assure you wear them with confidence. The back is as beautiful as the front, so no matter which way you turn your head, all eyes will follow you.

Size: 1.5” long, not including purple niobium wire; .25” wide.

Weight: 4g (just over .01 oz)

General Information: My handmade art glass earrings are paired with niobium (a hypoallergenic nickel free metal, colored by anodization) or sterling silver ear wires and are extremely comfortable to wear. Weighing only 2 - 6 grams each, they are approximately 1" to 2” long (not including wires) by .25" wide. The patterned earrings were hand cut from adjacent glass, so when held side by side, you can see continuation of the pattern.

Earrings are a wonderful gift for yourself as well as your friends and family. This pair can be worn in sophisticated fashion or casually with denim.

I have hundreds of earrings not yet listed. If you're looking for a color or style not shown on my site, please send me a note and I'll do my best to help you.

Made by hand, with care and attention to detail in my Columbia River Gorge studio using quality art glass produced in the Pacific Northwest; dichroic glass made in the Southwest and paired with niobium (a hypoallergenic nickel free metal, colored by anodization) or sterling silver ear wires. Occasionally you’ll find a pair with 10k or 24k gold ear wires and those will be noted, accordingly.

Carefully packed and shipped in sturdy cardboard packaging, double boxed to avoid breakage.

I could never make just one pair of earrings, and usually ended up with anywhere from one to five hundred in a session. It will take me some time to list them all, as each is slightly different from the next. You can see one group of earrings I made, on my blog here:  http://steiderstudios.wordpress.com/2012/11/25/rainbows-of-earrings/
